Taylor is the Director of Global Security Policy at Intel Corporation. At Intel, Taylor leads on all cybersecurity policy engagements and works to help shape the cybersecurity policy ecosystem to both improve the global security practices and enable the execution of Intel product roadmaps. This includes engagement on topics of certification, supply chain risk management, vulnerability/incident reporting, secure hardware/software development, and many more. Prior to joining Intel, Taylor served as a Cybersecurity Advisory for the White House, Office of Management and Budget, where her developed government-wide policies to oversee agency cybersecurity practices. Taylor has also worked at the University of Oxford as a Senior Researcher, conducting international assessments to model cybersecurity maturity at the national level. He received his Master’s in Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego and Bachelor’s from Trinity University.
Our final panel discussion will focus on all thing’s product security! The panelists will weigh in on concepts such as secure by design/default, tech accountability, and the implications of shifting the security burden. Our panelists will cover recent legislative developments like the Cyber Resilience Act and engage with the historical context that has led governments to refocus their attention “upstream” after having emphasized operational issues and enterprise security. The discussion will also analyze current policy and regulatory approaches towards product security and where they can be improved!
