Morten Løkkegaard is a Member of European Parliament (Renew - Denmark), serving from 2009 to 2014 and 2016 to the present. In the 10th European Parliament, he is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and a substitute on the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO), both of which have played instrumental roles in the creation and revision of the Cybersecurity Act (CSA). Prior to becoming an MEP, Morten was a journalist , communications consultant and former television host. Morten holds a degree from the Danish School of Journalism.
This session examines the implications of the December targeted amendment to the Cybersecurity Act (CSA), which enables the establishment of European certification schemes for managed security services. It also discusses the outlook for the European Union Cybersecurity Certification Scheme on Cloud Services (EUCS), with a particular focus on the ongoing debate surrounding cloud sovereignty.
