Hubert Han

Hubert Han is Senior Tech Policy Advisor at Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), based in Washington DC. He is concurrently First Secretary (Digital) at the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore to the United States. This is Singapore’s first diplomatic post focused on digital technologies.

A Foreign Service Officer by training, Hubert was posted to the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore to the People’s Republic of China from 2019 to 2021, based in Beijing.  He was the Embassy’s lead officer on US-China relations, China’s political economy, and China’s technology scene.

Hubert is a 2024 Fellow of the Schmidt Futures International Strategy Forum. He graduated from the University of Oxford with a Postgraduate Diploma (Distinction) in Diplomatic Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in History.
