Dr. Amit Elazari, J.S.D. is Head of Cybersecurity Policy at Intel Corporation, a Lecturer at UC Berkeley School of Information, and a member of the External Advisory Committee for the Center of Long-Term Cybersecurity at UC Berkeley. She holds a doctoral degree in technology law (J.S.D) from UC Berkeley School of Law and graduated summa cum laude three prior degrees in law and business. She co-founded Disclose.io, a non-profit initiative to foster the adoption of contractual protections for security researchers from anti-hacking laws, adopted globally by thousands of organizations. Her work on security policy and technology law has been featured at top conferences such as RSA, Black Hat and USENIX Security, published in leading academic journals and featured in popular press, including The New York Times, The Washington Post and Wall Street Journal. She was awarded among others, the USENIX Security Distinguished Paper Award, Annual Privacy Papers for Policymakers (PPPM) Award and the Casper Bowden PET award for Outstanding Research in Privacy Enhancing Technologies. She also participates in international standardization, currently serving as one of the editors for a global ISO/IEC IoT standard for device security and privacy baseline requirements (ISO/IEC 27402, draft).
