Cory Bullock is a Senior Manager of Global Government Affairs at Tenable. In his role at Tenable, Cory develops and executes strategies to engage with governments around the world on cybersecurity policy and leverages public-private partnerships to drive strategic business outcomes. Prior to Tenable, Cory worked at USAID, where he helped develop the Agency’s policy and legislative engagement strategies to advance key foreign policy priorities. He also worked at the Department of Treasury, conducting analysis on international economic policy issues. Cory is a Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project. He holds a B.A. from Emory University and an M.A. in International Development from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.
This panel session promises an exploration on current cybersecurity workforce initiatives, namely how hiring and developing a diverse cyber workforce can support better security outcomes. The discussion aims to highlight how a diverse workforce is better equipped to combat the multifaceted nature of cyber threats, as varied perspectives can offer innovative solutions. The session will examine how these issues are being addressed in the National Cyber Strategy, as well as steps that entities can take to greater incentive diversity, equity, and inclusion in the cyber workforce.
